PROJECT SPECIALIST 


SUMMARY 

This role supports the Construction Services team with operational execution, technical implementation, and project coordination. The Project Specialist will ensure multifamily rehab/renovation and construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. This position requires strong skills in data analysis, construction technology platforms (including Procore), and process improvement, in addition to general project management support.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Assist the VP of Construction with coordinating the contractor bid process, including scope development, proposal review, and vendor compliance. 
  • Help review project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with project goals.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, daily logs, and progress reports.
  • Assist with monitoring subcontractor performance and quality control, escalating issues as needed.
  • Organize and streamline construction services, administrative operations and data output.
  • Coordinate communication among contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to the development of tools and processes to improve departmental efficiency.  
Requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Real Estate, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience).
  • Hands-on experience with technical implementation of construction management software (Procore required; additional platforms a plus).
  • Strong data and analytics skills, including the ability to create reports, track KPIs, and provide insights to leadership. 
  • Familiarity with construction software platforms and strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Solid foundation in project management practices, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Knowledge of multifamily construction or development is a plus.
