Based near Camira, our client is a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing business supplying specialist products to a wide range of residential and commercial projects. Due to business growth, they are now seeking an experienced Project Manager / Supervisor to join their construction team.

Camira location
Monday to Friday, full-time hours 
110k - 130k + super + 15k vehicle allowance + Fuel Card/Credit Card/Toll Card (pending experience)

The Role: Working within the construction team and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the on-site delivery of multiple commercial projects. Key duties will include:

  • Managing the supervision, erection and handover of construction projects in line with contract requirements
  • Developing and maintaining construction programs and project timing plans
  • Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, labour and plant across active sites
  • Preparing and managing project plans, budgets, OHSE, QA and resource schedules
  • Monitoring site progress, quality, safety and performance against program and budget
  • Issuing and managing variations, extensions of time, progress claims and drawing updates
  • Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with contract, specifications, OHS and quality standards
  • Conducting toolbox talks, site meetings and performance reviews
  • Managing site documentation including drawings, programs, inductions, permits and compliance records
  • Preparing progress reports, milestone tracking and handover documentation
  • Liaising with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Finance to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Escalating technical, budget, safety or industrial issues as required

To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Proven experience managing construction projects from start to finish in the Australian building industry
  • At least 5 years' experience in a site-based Project Manager, Site Supervisor or Contracts role
  • A qualification or trade background in Construction or Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Australian building standards and OHSE requirements
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings, construction programs and material schedules
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, costs and variations
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills 
  • Competency with Microsoft Office, MS Project and ERP systems (experience with Pronto highly advantageous)
  • Full Australian working rights
  • A valid Australian driver's licence
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
