OVERVIEW
This role supports the Project Manager in executing underground utility and/or water
treatment plant construction projects. The Project Engineer will contribute to project
delivery by maintaining safety, schedule, and budget compliance. Responsibilities span
contract administration, field coordination, and technical documentation to ensure
seamless project execution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Up to 4 years of experience in a construction project engineering role
- Familiarity with underground utility and/or treatment plant construction components
- Proficient in preparing submittals and RFIs in alignment with project specifications
- Skilled in compiling and verifying installed quantity data for pay estimates
- Experience producing daily work reports in coordination with field staff
- Ability to perform material takeoffs, assist with procurement, and review invoices
- Competent in generating CAD drawings and traffic control plans to support field operations
- Understanding of permitting processes and underground utility mark-out requirements
- Knowledge of CPM scheduling concepts, including critical path analysis
- Comfortable attending project meetings and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Experienced in maintaining redline drawings and supporting project closeout documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities across various project roles
- Proficient in Excel, Word, CAD, Microsoft Project or Primavera, Heavy Job, Viewpoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Willingness to travel to project sites in New York and New Jersey
