The Role:

 

Paralegal – Construction - 6 month fixed term contract.

 

The Paralegal will work with the fee-earning teams providing essential support on a wide range of construction‑related legal matters, assisting with document production, legal research, case management and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Draft, review and format legal documents such as contracts, correspondence, witness statements and reports;
  • Manage construction related documentation;
  • Prepare document bundles and summaries;
  • Support the monitoring of dispute deadlines and requirements;
  • Conduct legal research on relevant legislation;
  • Support fee-earners with day to day queries and administrative tasks;
  • Support continuous improvement of processes and legal workflows.

 

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in Law.
  • Proven relevant experience working in a similar role, strongly preferred. 

 

Experience, skills and personal attributes:

  • Prior experience within a law firm with knowledge of Construction documentation preferred;
  • Ability to analyse complex legal information;
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills (these are the two key attributes for the role).
  • Able to manage various priorities simultaneously in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to deal with clients and other key stakeholders;
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and pro-active.
