Now Hiring a Health & Safety Officer in Construction

Duties & Responsibilities

  • This will be a fixed-term (8 months) project
  • Able to manage OHS audits, training & incident prevention
  • Site inspections & safety audits
  • Compliance with OHS Act (85 of 1993)
  • Safety  inductions, training & toolbox talks
  • Incident reporting & safety file management

Desired Experience & Qualification

  • OHS Diploma/Degree is a must
  • SCAPCMP Registered is Mandatory
  • SAMTRAC certification
  • Fall protection planning
  • HIRA is essential
  • Construction site experience
  • Working at heights & scaffholding is preferred
  • Emergency Response & Safety Management
  • Computer Literate (Excel, Word Outlook)
  • Reside in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) or surrounding areas
