This is a great opportunity to be part of the world’s largest bulk export port authority, encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and five future port sites. You will be responsible for the development, execution and management of the construction of the new Port Hedland Seafarers Centre. 

About You

This role will suit you if you enjoy diversity, seek out opportunities for growth, and connect with Pilbara Ports' values of Safety, Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity and Care. Pilbara Ports is looking for candidates with: 

  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successful commercial project delivery with values of $15M. Site Supervisors and Construction Managers encouraged to apply.
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline, or demonstrated experience in a senior construction management role with a minimum of 5+ years experience.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, commercial management and SOPA.
  • Experience working for a Head Contractor or Developer – Builder.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and experience with Aconex preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, ABCB, NCC and local authority requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, techniques, and materials.
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • In-depth understanding of safety protocols and regulations in construction.
