Senior Associate - Construction & Major Projects

ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate to join an expanding construction and projects team with a strong and diverse pipeline of work. You will be involved across both project delivery and dispute phases, working with a range of commercial and government clients on matters of varying scale and complexity. This role offers variety, responsibility and the chance to play an active role in shaping client outcomes while developing your own practice.

You will:

• Advise on the preparation and negotiation of construction and consultancy agreements
• Support clients through procurement processes and commercial structuring decisions
• Provide guidance on risk allocation, delivery models and contract strategy
• Assist with project delivery issues, including contract administration and performance matters
• Advise on claims relating to variations, delays and extensions of time
• Support dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration and other forums
• Deliver clear, practical advice on both legal and commercial considerations
• Supervise and support junior lawyers within the team

• At least 4 years' post-admission experience in construction, projects or infrastructure law
• Exposure to both advisory/transactional and disputes work (or a strong interest in developing both)
• Strong drafting and problem-solving capabilities
• The ability to manage competing priorities and work with a degree of autonomy
• Well-developed communication skills and confidence dealing with clients
• An interest in mentoring junior team members
• A commercial and solutions-focused approach to legal practice
