Salary Range: $75K to $85K per year
 
PK Construction Company is a successful General Contractor adjunct to PK Housing & Management that develops PK’s own development projects. Located out of Okemos, MI, PK Construction has been around for over 25 years specializing in apartment construction and rehabilitation of occupied affordable housing and multi-family development units. PK is seeking a Project Manager to lead project teams through the steady growth and continued improvements of the properties that make up the communities in which they serve.
 
Position Summary
The Company is looking for a Project Manager with superior problem-solving skills to lead the successful completion of mostly Apartment Complex Rehabilitation project types. The role is multi-dimensional and fast-paced, as the Project Manager is responsible for juggling all aspects of multiple projects simultaneously from planning through close-out. While technical knowledge is a key part of the equation within the construction industry, it is essential to maintain effective communication, budget and schedule management, and an ability to understand the bigger picture. Managing the subcontractors and vendor relationships, in addition to interfacing with the PK management team and accounting is a crucial component of the job. The Project Manager has the high-level responsibility of keeping appropriate parties informed and up to date on the project schedule and budget.

Duties and Responsibilities, Requirements and Qualifications
· 2-4 years as a Project Manager with knowledge of construction and substantial experience working for a General Contractor/Construction Manager.
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred but not required.
· Attention to detail and ability to multitask is required.
· Strong communication and organizational skills i.e. email, phone & text.
· 100% commitment to safety.
· Ability to keep a project and teams on track.
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
· Proficient in AIA G701, 702 & 703 payment process.
· Knowledge of Conditional & Unconditional Waivers, Sworn Statements, etc.
· Experienced in Bidding, Awarding, Contract Negotiation and Creation.
· Proficient in Schedule Creation, Monitoring and Implementation.
· Deep understanding of the Submittal Review Process.

Work Environment·
This position is based in an office environment at our main office in Okemos, Michigan.
· We allow working from home on Tuesday and Thursday only (but is not required) in the Construction Department, but are expected to work in the office on those days if an in-person meeting, company event, etc. is scheduled on that day.
· Standard working hours are from 8am to 5pm but early mornings, late evenings and/or working weekends will be expected depending on project needs.
· require travel to projects throughout Michigan and outside states including but not limited to: Texas, Ohio, and Indiana.
